Travel Safety Tips

  • Consider Travel Insurance: look for cancel for any reason (CFAR) policy, which enables you to cancel your trip in the event of a serious travel advisory, and recoup most of the cost.

  • Stay aware of your surroundings: this is a good rule of thumb whether the location you are travelling to has a travel advisory or not.

  • Secure your valuables: leave valuables in the safe in your resort room or store them in an anti-theft travel bag. Be sure to lock your cars and do not leave items in plain sight.

  • Be sure you have local emergency phone numbers for your destination.

  • Share your itinerary with someone you trust.
